“The 50 States” Set

“The 50 States Set” by Gabrielle Balkan and Sol Linero

Learning about the 50 states has never been more fun with this set.  I’m serious!  Each of these books is absolutely gorgeous in design and each one on it’s own can occupy you for hours with all the information and wonderful details that they hold.  I cannot get over how fantastic they are and I am completely over-the-moon in love with them.  I have brief description of them below along with a link where you can purchase them.  Enjoy!

“The 50 States”– This hefty, oversized book has a whole page spread dedicated to each state in the Union with a map.  It covers facts such as: a short timeline of events pertinent to that state, key facts, important people, scenic points of interest and much more.  The back also contains a list of all of the presidents up through Obama, the sate flags and an extensive index.

“The 50 States Fun Facts”–  This oversize board book contains a fact for each state organized into different categories on each page spread.  Some of the categories include: animals, transportation, celebrations and things to eat.  At the very end of the book is a puzzle of the united states with pieces that pop-out entirely and can be re-done again and again.

“The 50 States Activity Book”–   This book contains all of your favorite activity book games from crosswords, decoding, puzzles to word searches.  All of them are centered around facts about the 50 States and the end of the book includes a fold-out poster of all of the presidents of the Union up until Obama as well as a sheet of stickers.  Every bit as beautiful as the other books in the series, but with an interactive twist.

“50 Cities of The USA”–(out Sep 7th and available for pre-order) This oversized book focuses on the 50 large cities (one from each state, usually the capital) with a page spread for each one including a map.  Similar to “The 50 States” book in includes facts such as: streets, neighborhoods, inspiring people, sites of interest and more.  My favorite feature is the section for each city that portrays a sample of what a day might look like spent in that city with activities you might do and places you might visit.
