ABC Trace-n-Erase Chalkboard from Chalkfull of Design

ABC Trace-n-Erase Chalkboard from Chalkfull of Design

I found a favorite new tool for my alphabet obsessed little boy and I am so excited about it!  As I’ve mentioned on here before, he has been alphabet obsessed forever and learned them all before he was two years old.  This fascination has grown as his knowledge has grown and it has been so fun to see him discover each new level of letters from their names to learning to spell a few words.

Recently, he surprised me by writing out a few letters on his own during our art time.  I was so impressed because I hadn’t really started working on writing with him yet and so he started on his own initiative.  That’s when I figured I better get up-to-speed and find some literacy tools to help him learn to write his ABC’s.

That is when I found this chalkboard from Chalkfull of Design on Instagram.  It spoke to the elementary school teacher in me and I knew that it was perfect for us.  They agreed to work with me and I anxiously awaited the arrival of our board.  My little guy loved it at first sight and I have to admit that I was impressed as well.  The board is sturdy, stylish and large without being too heavy.  My favorite feature is that it is always ready to go and can be used over and over again.   (Which is obviously necessary for learning a skill like writing. ) We also received a chalk marker that can be purchased along with the board and I am a big fan of that because it means no chalk dust and it can still be wiped clean.

Our ABC chalkboard is sitting out in our living room so that it is always ready to go for when he gets the urge to practice writing his alphabet.  And, honestly, that happens quite often.  I know this board is going to get a lot of use from my little bookworm.
