Emily Arrow Storytime Singalong Albums

Okay.  So it’s obvious that I love picture books, and loving kids music is also a given.  But, what happens when they combine?  I’ll tell you!  You get: Emily Arrow!

Emily Arrow is an absolutely darling musician that combines story time and music by basing some of her songs off of popular children’s literature.  For example, one our our favorite picture books is “Are We There Yeti” by Ashlyn Anstee and Emily’s first album has a song with lyrics based off of the story.  This magical combination is fun for so many reasons.  One is that it is another way to bring beloved picture books to life, and another is that it is a way to help grow interest in reluctant bookworms with books, or reluctant musicians with music.  Plus, how fun would “circle time” story time be with a fun song after each story?  Perfect!

On a more personal note, I must confess that we are some of her biggest fans.  Seriously.  Her albums are playing in the background during craft time, playtime and are ALWAYS included in road trips.  My kiddos love to sing along to her songs and have favorites of their own.  We were beyond thrilled at the release of her newest album which was just barely released and already have fallen in love with all the songs. (Especially “Explorers of the Wild Song” and “Be a Friend” which pair with the books of the same titles by Cale Atkinson and Salina Yoon.)

If you are looking for some really great music that you are bound to enjoy as much as your children as well as something to enhance story time, then you have found it in Emily Arrow.  We are already anxiously awaiting her next songs. Check both albums out below.
