Letters To My… Series

“Letters to My…” Series by Lea Redmond

As a mother, two important priorities I have in raising my children are helping to create positive memories with my kiddos and preserving those memories with/for my kiddos.  These are two big jobs that I take very seriously.  I prioritize spending time with my children and I photograph and film them like crazy.  The moments I cherish are often the small and simple things and I want to remover and cherish them forever.  It is always nice when a product comes along that helps give me an easy way to do this.

The “Letters to My” series are a bunch of time-capsule books by Lea Redmond that make it easy and fun to preserve thoughts, goals and memories.  Each book has 12 built-in letters that allow you to fill them out and seal them with a sticker.  After you do so, you have the option of writing down the date it was sealed and written as well as the date it is meant to be opened and read.  So, essentially it is a time capsule.  So far in the series they have nine books with everything from “Letters to My mom” to “Letters to my Baby”.

Chronicle books sent me “Letters to my Future Self” and “Letters to Me When I Grow Up”.   “Letters to Me When I Grow Up” is the first book in their series so far that is geared for children.  The main difference between it and “Letters to my Future Self” (which is geared for adults) is that it has some more structured letter prompts that invite children to draw and check off, as well as write.  I love these little books and am putting them on my “gift idea” list, as they would make the perfect gifts.  I would gift them either filled out, such as the “Letters to My Love” book, or just empty for someone else to fill out.  I may have to purchase the “Letters to My Baby” book for both of my kiddos as well…
