Have you checked out this series yet? It is absolutely adorable! I don’t know if it was originally meant as a ploy by adults to get kids to eat their peas or not, but It actually kinda worked with my little guy! He always refuses to eat his peas, but if I remind him of the Little Green Peas that he loves so much he will usually eat a fair few! Magic!
This Pea Series started with “LMNO Peas” and then “123 Peas”. Each one of those is a primer for the alphabet and numbers respectively. This year the series was added on to with “Little Green Peas” in July and soon “Hap-Pea All Year” which comes out in November.
“Little Green Peas” is a color primer and “Hap-Pea All Year” is a months-of-the-year primer (and may just be my personal favorite!) Both of these books exceed the high standards set by their two predecessors and follow the same type of layout and style of illustrations. Which means that each page spread is bursting with adorable little green peas going about their everyday business. All the little details in these simple books are sure to have you smiling. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll fall in love with your peas too! Just like my little guy.
