“Peter Pan” and “The Wizard of Oz”

“Peter Pan”and “The Wizard of OZ” by Agnese Baruzzi retold from the original Barrie and Baum versions

I am so excited about all of the gorgeous paperwork that has been showing up in books recently!  Seriously though, they are incredible!  These two beautiful children’s editions of “Peter Pan” and “The Wizard of Oz” are certainly no exception.  Baruzzi’s work in them is stunning and worthy of any fan of these classic stories.

The illustrations riddled throughout these books are beautiful enough on their own.  They add a modern twist to each tale and lots of vivid color.  However, the real star of these books in my opinion are the pop-ups which cover entire page spreads and consist of illustrations done entirely through intricate cut-outs.  Every time I turn a page in these books I am met with a lovely surprise that really adds to the whole experience of reading the book.

I have never seen anything like it and they are spectacular.  Really some beautiful work that is best seen in person and makes a great gift or collectors edition.
